As we celebrated Good Friday and Easter Sunday, I thought of both betrayal and new life. I tried to imagine Jesus’ mother, Mary’s feelings through that weekend. I’ve put my thoughts into story form, which helped me identify with her pain and her joy. I hope this will be meaningful to you as well.
I thought she was hungry. And she was … but not for food. I’m amazed at how my perception of a person changes when I spend time listening to their story.
To love again is to risk losing again. Could I make room for a second love after losing my first husband? The question brought both joy and challenges. Friends who questioned me, others who encouraged me, learning to trust God and my own heart in this choice. And I’m so glad I did!
